MATH 237 – Calculus 3 for Honours Mathematics (Fall )
This session will do a brief review of pre-midterm material using only examples (less than an hour). We will then cover every section from 8.3 and on, skipping past 9.3: Proof of the Second Partial Derivative Test. To save time we will not be covering any of the proofs, as they can be found in the course notes. Instead, a focus will be made on reviewing definitions and statements of theorems, and applying them to examples. An emphasis will be made on chapters 13-15, with in-depth analyses of a few triple integrals. The goal is to finish in 3-3.5 hours, leaving a buffer in case we need to move more slowly, or allowing for more specific questions and discussion.
