Waterloo SOS will be holding an Exam-AID session for STAT 231 on February 2nd covering data types, transformations, problem, plan, data, bivariate data, data analysis and statistical inference. We will also provide you with a comprehensive review package to help you study for your midterm! Come to our Exam-Aid session for only $15 at MC 2065 at 7:00 on February 2nd. This term we are introducing a new program called Best Notes, which will distribute high-quality lecture materials prepared by students in MATH 136 and MATH 138. This program will: - Provide tutor-reviewed notes for study and comparison - Supplement students' note-taking in class - Enable students to listen more effectively You can purchase these notes every Wednesday outside MC 2065 between 10:30 and 2:30 for $3 a package or purchase notes for the entire semester for $25 - All money raised supports a good cause! - Stay tuned for Math 136 and Math 138 Exam-AID sessions before midterms and final exams - 100% of the proceeds go to Latin American communities in order to develop sustainable education projects STUDENT FEEDBACK: A small survey was conducted to determine the interest level and intended use of BestNotes: - 100% of students surveyed said they would use notes as supplements to their own notes or for extra study material before tests - 90% of students surveyed said they would find it useful to see lecture notes from other professors’ classes

SOS welcomes you back to campus! We would like to invite you to join our booth at Clubs Day in the SLC on Thursday, January 14th, and Friday, January 15th, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to learn more about SOS, our plans for the term, and how you can get involved. Last term, SOS raised $17,985 through 11 review sessions in 6 courses, tutoring over 600 students! Our average tutor rating was 8.55/10! We are currently looking at offering tutoring sessions for a number of courses in the Math and Science (NEW!) faculties and Accounting department, including AFM 102, BIOL 139, CHEM 123, CS 115, CS 116, MATH 128, MATH 135, MATH 136, MATH 138, and STAT 231. Other courses may be offered depending on student demand. Please stay tuned for specific registration details. Let's all unite to ... Raise Marks, Raise Money, and Raise Roofs!
